Invicta FC makes its first trip to Las Vegas tomorrow night, headlined by a co-main event featuring two title fights.

The show’s star attraction, of course, is Cris Justino, aka Cris Cyborg, who will defend the promotion’s 145 lb title against Faith Van Duin.

It will be the second bout of 2015 for Cyborg, who knocked out Charmaine Tweet in less than a minute back in February — after being inactive since July 2013.

But Cyborg is happy to become more active, saying she requested a busier schedule from Invicta president Shannon Knapp.

“I would like to fight a lot (more) per year,” Cyborg said in a media appearance posted by MMA Crazy yesterday. “I think it’s very important for me to lose weight, to have a fight every four months, or three months. It helps me stay lighter, so I can possibly drop to another class. I’m very excited for this fight.”

Cyborg, who is working with nutritionist George Lockhart to possibly challenge Ronda Rousey at bantamweight, says a catch-weight at 140 lbs would be a better solution.

“I think 140 would be perfect,” she said. “Because me and Ronda are champs. She said before she can make 145 to fight Gina (Carano). But I’ll try. I’ll try my best to make this fight happen.”

Cyborg noted that she expects to have at least one more fight in Invicta before any possible move to the UFC. She also confirmed that the UFC wants to see her make the bantamweight limit before signing her.

She was asked her thoughts on Rousey’s next defense — against another Brazilian in Bethe Correira this Saturday.

“You know I’m Brazilian,” Cyborg smiled. “I hope Bethe kick her ass! She’s a good fighter and a good fight for Ronda.”
