Let’s say it like it is: unless you’re a superstar like Conor McGregor, who can sell ridiculous amounts of pay-per-views and garner mainstream attention, there really isn’t much of a place for you in the Octagon.
That means a top welterweight contender like Rory MacDonald – who’s fought the best, beaten some of them and fallen just short of beating the others – had gone as far as he could go with the UFC. So now he’s in Bellator, doing his thing.
Which is great. Because at Bellator 179, we got to see MacDonald take out Paul Daley, and at Bellator 192, the Canadian will take on champ Douglas Lima for the belt. Good stuff, right?
Bellator thinks so. And to help build up some hype, here’s some content they’ve churned out on MacDonald’s behalf.
