Don’t hold your breath for this fight. Following comments made by Anderson Silva on wanting to test himself against Roy Jones Jr. before Jon Jones, TMZ has caught up with the Boxing legend to ask his thoughts on the purposed match-up.

According to the 44-year-old Jones, he is more than willing to fight the pound-for-pound great, but it needs to be soon as he is coming to the end of his career. Of course we are talking in the boxing ring as Jones likely doesn’t want to end up with a James Toney type of loss in the cage. The 38-year-old UFC champ is no spring chicken either, but he also looks to still be the best in the sport. Further, Silva also already has a match-up set against Chris Weidman at UFC 162 on July 6 in Las Vegas.

Unfortunately for fans interested in the match-up, Silva has recently signed a new exclusive contract with the UFC, and the organization is unlikely to allow their Brazilian superstar step in a boxing ring anytime soon. Feel free to let us know in the comments who you think would win in the hypothetical match-up.
