Tito Ortiz isn’t letting Alexander Shlemenko off the hook after he was challenged by the Bellator middleweight champion.
Shlemenko issued the challenge to face Ortiz at Bellator 120 in May on pay-per-view, and the former UFC light heavyweight champion quickly accepted after being cleared by his doctor following neck surgery.
Now, Ortiz is stating that Shlemenko is backing out of the proposal.
“You call me out and u didn’t think I would accept?” he posted on Twitter Thursday. “Why you backing out? Afraid your going to get mopped up off the floor?”
Both Ortiz and Shlemenko were in California last week for the latest Bellator show. The bout has yet to be formally announced by officials for the show.
