You might be too young to remember it, but “Vision Quest” – starring Matthew Modine – was at one time the best combat sports flick ever made.

It had all the tropes of a coming-of-age movie, including an outcast protagonist gaining widespread recognition, a nigh-impossible to attain love interest, personal sacrifice. But ultimately it was a film about a high school wrestler striving to beat an unbeatable opponent (spoiler: Modine’s character does eventually beat that “unbeatable” opponent).

One of the most motivating scenes is when Modine is warming up to face his nemesis, and in a stroke of pure coolness, Bellator – utilizing their former champ Michael Chandler – has recreated that scene.
