The UFC may have everyone salivating in anticipation of next week’s installment of Conor McGregor: Superhero, but Bellator’s got some big in store tonight. It’s definitely worth tuning in for.

Setting aside Bellator 206‘s  co-main event of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Wanderlei Silva, which is a joke of a fight, there’s the main event of Gegard Mousasi versus Rory MacDonald.

In case you forgot, Mousasi is the organization’s middleweight champ, while MacDonald is the welterweight champ. And they were top contenders in the UFC when they decided to jump ship and dominant in Bellator.

They are literally two of the best middleweights and welterweights around.

Also… HOLY CRAP MACDONALD IS MOVING UP A WEIGHT CLASS TO FIGHT ONE OF THE BEST! THAT’S INSANE!

I think MacDonald might have bitten off more than he can chew with Mousasi, just based on the size difference. But if there’s anyone on the Bellator roster that can beat Mousasi, it’s MacDonald, so…

If the notion of that ultra-compelling fight doesn’t move you, there’s also a rematch between two of Bellator’s other elite welterweights, Douglas Lima and Andrey Koreshkov. Lima was champ when he knocked out Koreshkov, but now that MacDonald is king, the Brazilian is back in the mix with this, the first fight on Bellator’s welterweight tournament.

Finally, there’s Aaron Pico. The superstar wrestler will forever be living down that dismal Bellator debut last year, but the three subsequent KO/TKOs are helping his cause.

Tune in. I certainly will be.
