The days of legendary Russian heavyweight Fedor Emelianenko ruling the division like an iron-fisted tsar are long gone. Now we have the shell of a man thrust into the cage.

The days of Frank Mir ruling over the UFC’s heavyweights are long gone as well, hence his migration to the Bellator cage.

But alas, there’s a Bellator heavyweight tournament underway, and Fedor and Mir have to clash tonight in Bellator 198’s main event. Are you ready to be sad?

They come out swinging like madmen, with Mir stumbling the Russian and crowding him briefly against the fence. Fedor shakes off the cobwebs and shrugs him off, and then it’s all about Fedor’s footwork and speed and Mir swinging for that chin like he wants it as a trophy. But when Mir lunges with his chin exposed, Fedor steps to the side and clips it with a left shovel punch, and down goes the former UFC champ.

Fedor wins!
