The line-up for Bellator’s upcoming November 2nd, “Rampage vs. Tito” event has picked up a 13th bout, as the promotion has announced that Mike Richman will fight Akop Stepanyan on the preliminary card.  The featherweight scrap will be part of SPIKE’s broadcast that night, which will also feature the “Fight Master” final between Joe Riggs and Mike Bronzoulis.

Now if you’ve seen either Richman or Stepanyan fight before, then you can see why Bellator officials decided to use it as part of the television lead in for the pay-per-view. Both featherweights can bang.

Richman (15-3) stopped Mitch Jackson, and defeated Alexandre Bezerra by decision to advance to the Season Eight featherweight tourney final, but lost by UD to Frodo Khasbulaev.

“I’m really honored to be part of Bellator’s first PPV,” Richman was quoted saying in a press release from the promotion. “It really means a lot to me to be featured on this card. I always look to put on exciting fights, but I feel like I have a duty to Bellator and myself to really put on a show to get people excited to buy this PPV and see an amazing night of fights. Akop is a tough guy and fought some solid talent, but I’ll be collecting another victory on November 2nd.”

In Stepanyan’s (13-6) last outing at Bellator 99, he was beating Justin Wilcox down with strikes, but the latter came from behind and choked out him out in round two. 7 of Stepanyan’s 13 wins have come via TKO or knockout.

The November 2nd card will be hosted by the Long Beach Convention Center, and will feature “Rampage” Jackson taking on fellow, former UFC champ Tito Ortiz in the main event.
