“King Mo” Lawal rebounded from his memorable, stoppage loss to Emanuel Newtown tonight at Bellator 96, by knocking out Seth Petruzelli in the first round of the card’s main event.  Lawal secured his second win under the Bellator banner, by taking the UFC vet to the mat and KOíng him with a punishing shot from above.

With the win, Lawal will advance to face Jacob Noe in the promotion’s latest light-heavyweight tourney, who stopped Renato “Babalu” Sobral in round three. Sobral, who has lost two straight, reportedly called it quits on his accomplished career following the defeat.

In the heavyweight tournament semifinals, Ryan Martinez and Vitaly Minakov entrenched a finale between the two, by stopping Richard Hale and Ron Sparks respectively.

Here are the results for the event, which was hosted by the Winstar Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma (results do not include additional bouts scheduled to take place after the television broadcast).
