The UFC is going all out for their show in Boston this weekend, but all the way on the other side of the country Bellator is going big, too.
Bellator 192 is the event, and though the main event has former UFC stars Chael Sonnen and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson kicking off the opening round of the heavyweight tournament, the co-main event has a welterweight champ on the defensive.
Douglas Lima is one of Bellator’s best 170-pound fighters. There’s no question about that. However, he hasn’t faced recent acquisition Rory MacDonald yet, and that bout is going to be one heck of a test.
It’s true Lima is an elite striker with a black belt in jiu-jitsu. Also true: in his long UFC career, MacDonald has eaten elite strikers with jiu-jitsu black belts for dinner.
This one is going to be so awesome…
