Bellator held the official weigh-ins Thursday in preparation for its latest event in Visalia tomorrow night, which will feature the promotional debuts of UFC vets Cheick Kongo and Lavar Johnson.
Kongo came in at 235.9 pounds for his heavyweight tourney, semifinal bout with Mark Godbeer, who tipped the scales at 239.6.
Johnson, meanwhile, weighed in at 253.2 for his semifinal battle withVinicius Queiroz, who was 236.2. It’s going to be interesting to see how those fights play out (and how long they go…) If Johnson and Kongo win, it will be an all UFC vet final.
The card will also showcase the Summer Series bantamweight tourney final between Anthony Leon and Rafael Silva, who came in at 135.7 and 136 respectively.
In addition, the main card will include the middleweight tourney semis as Jason Butcher will meet Mikkel Parlo, and Joe Pacheco will throw down with Brennan Ward.
Bellator 102 will be hosted by the Visalia Convention Center and the main card will be broadcast on SPIKE.
