Yves Edwards added to UFC on FOX 5 against John Cholish

Dana White may be described as many things. Of those descriptions includes a man of his word. After the craziness that happened last weekend UFC on FX with Jeremy Stephens being arrested, Dana promised to give Stephens’ disappointed opponent Yves Edwards a fight before the years end; even if there was ‘over twenty fights on the card.’ Now Yves has the chance to compete on the large platform that is the UFC on Fox against relative octagon new comer John Cholish. While some MMA pundits have expressed that Yves should be happy getting paid, despite not having to fight, Yves still believes he missed out.

In his eyes he missed out, because he had been paid just as much as if he would have lost the fight against Stephens. That does not sit well with Edwards as he claims he knew he would of won the fight, earning the win bonus as well as a possible Fight of the Night bonus. If you’ve ever seen an interview with Edwards, the man loves to fight. Now he’ll have his chance to express that love against cholish, and you can expect that he is just as confident he will win.

Cholish is currently 1-1 in the UFC, as he lost to one time rising star Danny Castillo by decision. Also his debut was a spirited affair where he finished his opponent in the second round. That is not the only encounters that Cholish has had with Zuffa owned promotions. He also competed in Strikeforce where he finished his opponent by the seldom seen knee bar. Yves will easily be his biggest test to date in the cage for Cholish.
