Ronda Rousey ate about a million left hands courtesy of Holly Holm, and then she took a full dose of foot to her neck. She lost her belt on that shocking night back at UFC 193, but the question of how severe the damage she absorbed has lingered.
Now we know.
As per an interview with ESPN the Magazine (and transcribed by People magazine):
The stitches in her lip still dissolving, and a few of her teeth still unstable from Holm’s fight-ending kick to the face, Rousey admits to ESPN The Magazine in its “Ideas of the Year” issue, on newsstands Friday: “It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple, let alone take an impact.”
Yeah, that rematch with Holm at UFC 200 ain’t happening. Rousey got messed up something fierce. She needs time to heal before she can even train.
