Anthony Pettis ready for Ben Henderson title fight in PhoenixAugust 18, 2010 by Joe Rocha

WEC gives another night of exciting bouts as Anthony Pettis impressively defeats grappling ace, Shane Roller to become the number one WEC lightweight contender. Pettis showed a great mix of kicks and punches, similar to UFC middleweight Nate Marquardt’s stylish combos. Pettis even took the wrestler down and shined in the last round, having just enough cardio to pull off a triangle with just seconds left in the final round after a non-stop fast-paced fight.

Dana White appeared following the bout to announce the ‘Amp energy contest’ to see where the WEC will be going for the Pettis vs Henderson bout. White opens the Amp canister to reveal that the two would be facing off in Phoenix, AZ late in the year.
