Wanderlei Silva Knocks Out Brian Stann in Wild War

Who needs five rounds when Wanderlei Silva and Brian Stann are swinging hooks in an all out fun brawl? The Pride legend returned to his former glory in Japan in the Saitama Arena, as he takes out American War Hero Brian Stann at UFC on Fuel TV 8.

Round one was exchange after exchange, with both men dropping the other at points. As if they knew nothing else, the fight was nothing but fast-paced exchanges in the pocket. Stann had a gash opened up on his nose early, leaking from then on. Late In the second, Wanderlei only needed one opening as Stann stepped forward, to finish Stann with a huge right, followed with a left landing on the button. From there on it was two huge bombs on his downed opponent that assured that there was no cognition left in his opponent Stann.

Silva may have had a rollercoaster of a career over the last eight years, but he continues to show sparks of his dangerous knockout abilities. Taking out Cung Le, Michael Bisping, Keith Jardine and Ricardo Arona in his thirties, after numerous wars in Pride FC, it is a miracle that the legend continues to compete.
