Eddie Bravo invented the Twister after smoking four bowls and grappling Joe Rogan while Rogan was dressed up in an alligator costume. Or something like that. The point is, as techniques go, it’s relatively new, and so effective that it’s banned in most grappling competitions.
But you can credit Chan Sung Jung, a.k.a. “The Korean Zombie” for being the first fighter to pull that move off in the Octagon, tapping out Leonard Garcia with it way back in 2011.
It’s doubtful that TKZ will get to pull that ace from up his sleeve when he faces Dennis Bermudez at UFC Fight Night 104 on Saturday. However, that doesn’t mean the move isn’t worth a Gracie breakdown!
