Tonight is UFC on FOX 25, and the event features former champ Chris Weidman taking on TUF winner Kelvin Gastelum.
Both men have some dramatic threads dangling behind them going into this fight. For Weidman, it’s the fact that he’s lost three in a row – which is especially notable because he’d never lost an MMA fighter before until Luke Rockhold took his belt. Can Weidman muster enough to earn a “W”?
For Gastelum, there’s a modicum of stability a win would provide, and stability is something he desperately needs. After all, he usually wins (when he can make weight, which he doesn’t always do), but sometimes those wins are overshadowed by something like a failed drug test (which turned his win over Vitor Belfort into a “no contest”).
Weidman versus Gastelum is a compelling fight for sure. Here’s Joe Rogan breaking it down.
