It’s a bit baffling that UFC champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk hasn’t quite found the traction with fans that she deserves. She is literally everything a champion fighter should be: a killer in the cage, and compelling and charismatic outside of it. But I guess not everyone can be a Conor McGregor. Oh well.
Anyway, she’s defending her belt at Madison Square Garden at UFC 217 on Saturday, and standing across the Octagon from her will be Rose Namajunas.
Namajunas has struggled against top-level competition in the past, but she’s always been tricky and explosive, so there’s no reason she can’t exploit an opening if one presents itself.
Here’s Jedrzejczyk talking about the fight.
