Like Obi-Wan Kenobi only growing more powerful after Darth Vader gave him the lightsaber treatment, Irish superstar Conor McGregor has a tendency of coming back stronger and vastly more popular after he loses.
We saw that after his initial loss to Nate Diaz, and it’s very likely we’ll see that again after his loss last night to Floyd Mayweather.
Some of it probably has to do with money, because to fight McGregor is to get rich (if you weren’t already), and everyone wants to be rich. But a lot of it is because of attitude, and for all the brashness and confidence McGregor exudes, at the end of the day he’s a humble martial artist.
Watch the postfight press conference below and you’ll see this.
