She’s been around longer than Ronda Rousey, and has been slaying opponents since the start, but for one reason or another, Cris Cyborg had to wait the longest time to get her shot in the UFC.
Actually, it isn’t really because of any other reason than the fact that Cyborg has a tough time cutting down to anything below 145 pounds, and the UFC’s money-weight division for females has always been 135 pounds.
At UFC 198 though, Cyborg finally got to step into the Octagon – against an overmatched Leslie Smith – and it marked the end of a seemingly-endless journey that involved one tortuous time trying to get to 140 pounds.
