The sun is about to set on “The California Kid”.
Urijah Faber, the breakout star of the “little guy” promotion the WEC, helped usher the smaller weight classes into the UFC when the organization bought and absorbed the WEC’s roster. And though Faber himself never seemed to get past the ranking of “second best” in the organization, he was always a star.
But time and age have taken its toll, so Faber announced today that his next fight – against Brad Pickett – will be his last.
