Conor McGregor has made plenty of headlines since he’s arrived in the UFC, not only for his highlight reel striking skills, but for his habit of producing eyebrow raising comments. Case in point, recently McGregor claimed that Diego Sanchez wouldn’t hit him one time if they fought…
Of course, due to McGregor’s outgoing personality, the talented fighter already has plenty of fans and critics, and it sounds like Cole Miller is one of the latter. After beating Andy Ogle at UFC Fight Night 30, Miller called out “Colin McGoober” in his post-fight interview with Joe Rogan. Then, while the speaking to the media in the back, here’s what the rugged vet also had to say about McGregor:
“This is my fifteenth fight in the UFC. I’m over here looking at this guy and I know a show pony when I see one,” Miller relayed to the media after the fight. “That’s what Conor, Colin, whatever, Colin McGregor, Conor McGregor, I know that’s what he is….I’ve seen this guy walking around, looking all GQ, flying to this place, flying to that place, and then he’s calling out my teammates. Talking crap about Nik Lentz, talking crap about Dustin Poirier. Those dudes will run through you. You didn’t finish a 21 year-old kid with 8 MMA fights and you’re talking about about being a top ten contender? You haven’t even tested yourself against no kind of fighter, especially not one like me, so you can get out of here.”
When asked if he’s interested in fighting McGregor, which seems to be a given, “Magrinho” of course said “yeah.” McGregor is still on the sidelines after undergoing knee surgery not long ago, and won’t be back until early 2014 at the earliest.
Miller, meanwhile, got back on the winning track with his UD win, after losing a controversial decision to Manny Gamburyan at UFC Fight Night 26 in August.
