Brazilian, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (32-6-1) has already verified that he is set to fight in his home country at UFC 134 Rio. The only issue is the opponent is not on paper as of yet. Recently Nogueira’s management said that they would be interested in a rematch against the Pride legend, Mirko Cro Cop at the event, in which Cro Cop responded accepting the challenge.
However, New reports have now come in from MMAJunkie.com that up and coming heavyweight Brendan Schaub (8-1) will likely face “Big Nog” at the Rio, Brazil event instead of Cro Cop.
With Schaub on a four fight win-streak against top opponents, does a match-up against “Big Nog” coming off a loss to Cain Velasquez and a severe knee injury seem like a competitive match up?
