Sean Soriano, Boca Raton, FL – 8-1 vs. Chas Skelly, Arlington, TX – 11-1

 

After some WiFi trouble we are LIVE as Bruce Buffer so aptly puts it. Winner of first fight by decision Skelly.

 

Bantamweight Bout 3 Rounds
Chris Beal, Ventura, CA – 9-0 vs. Takeki Matsuda, Somerville, MA – 10-5

 
Rd 1
Matsuda starts with some hard leg kicks gets taken down but reverses nicely. Beal escapes and they trade hard punches. Matsuda bleeding. Lands some brutal leg kicks but Beal hits him back after bell.
 
Rd 2
Matsu da gets away from kicking and pays for it. Beal with some hard ground and pound.

Rd 3
Beal pretty much rides him for the whole round like your daughter on a pony.

Winner Beal by decision.

Middleweight Bout 3 Rounds
Rafael Natal, New York, NY – 17-6-1 vs. Chris Camozzi, Lakewood, CO – 19-8

 

Rd 1

They trade some inside keg kicks till Natal gets the takedown. Back on the feet he clips camozzi with a right but eats more leg kicks.
 

Rd 2
Both looking tired. Natal burning energy going for takedowns

Rd 3
Natal tired and turning his back at times. Camozzi finally shucks him to the ground and connects with hard shots when Natal gets up.

Winner Natal on split decision.

Lightweight Bout 3 Rounds
Al Iaquinta, Garden City, NY – 8-3-1 vs. Rodrigo Damm, Vila Vehla, Brazil – 12-7

 
Rd 1
Rod Damm like Jean Claude Vans carer After rehab Not doing much.
 
Rd 2
Iaquinta consistenly pressuring and landing.

Rd 3
Iaquinta drops him with an overhand right and thinks its over. Ref Herb Dean says no so Iaquinta drills him with an elbow to finish it.

Flyweight Bout 3 Rounds
John Moraga, Phoenix, AZ – 14-3 vs. Justin Scoggins, Spartanburg, SC – 9-1

As Foxwoods cheap WiFi fails Scoggins gets some takedowns and looks OK.

Rd 2
From flat on his back Moraga slaps on a guillotine choke for the submission.

Nik Lentz, Coconut Creek, FL – 27-6-2 vs. Charles Oliveira, Houston, TX – 18-4-0, 1NC

Lightweight Bout 3 Rounds
Joe Lauzon, Bridgewater, MA – 23-10 vs. Michael Chiesa, Spokane Valley, WA – 11-1

 
Rd 1
Luzon seems to have trouble with Chiesa height early but gets back munt. Can’t capitalize and back on the feet Chiesa Lands in a wild flurry.
 
Rd 2
Lauzon gets takedown and gives for keeylock in the scramble. Back on the feet does damage from Thai clinch. Just when Chiesa rallies they stop it to check cut on Chiesa and the doctor stops it.

Winner on cuts Lauzon

Heavyweight Bout 3 Rounds
Matt Mitrione, Indianapolis, IN – 7-3 vs. Derrick Lewis, Houston, TX – 11-2-0, 1NC

 
Rd 1

    They come out and trade rights. Lewis comes out on the short end and goes down immediately. Referee Mario Yamasaki let’s him take about five punches too many before realizing a stoppage is in order.

    Winner Mitrione by KO

     

    Heavyweight Bout 3 Rounds
    Alistair Overeem, Amsterdam, The Netherlands – 37-13-0, 1NC vs. Ben Rothwell, Kenosha, WI – 33-9

     
    Rd 1
    Overeem starts out sharp with mix of kicks knees and punches but is hurt by a counter right hand. Seems to recover and goes back to oblique kick to the knee. Has anyone ever been hurt by an oblique kick? Overeem eats the same counter right goes down and does defend himself from his hands and knees leaving referee no choice but to stop it. The Overeem myth seems to be over.

    Winner Rothwell by TKO

     

    Middleweight Bout 5 Rounds
    Ronaldo Souza, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil – 20-3-0, 1NC vs. Gegard Mousasi, Leiden, The Netherlands – 35-4-2

     

Rd 1
Souza spends half the round trying to take him down and the rest of it trying to improve position on the ground. mousasi loves the word DEFENSE.

Rd 2
Souza does some damage on the feet then its back to the ground and looking to pass guard. Insomniacs count Mousasis to fall asleep.

Rd 3
Souza again lands some punches on the feet then back to the ground for more of the same. He’s learned not to leap in and eat an up kick. He finally presses Mousasi up against the fence in a sitting position and slaps on a guillotine choke for the submission.
