New Zealand slugger James Te Huna returns after a layoff due to injury, and his opponent is former pro hockey enforcer Steve Bosse. Since no ice skates are allowed in the Octagon, Bosse might be at a disadvantage.
Since they’re both devout headhunters, they come out and start blasting away. It’s no frills combat, but it’s pretty thrilling – made all the more thrilling when Bosse steps in on an angle and lands a right hand that turns Te Huna into a slobbering mess of unconsciousness on the canvas. Bosse doesn’t even bother following up, he just stands there with his arms out like, “What’s up, homie?”
So much for Te Huna’s comeback fight.
Result: Steve Bosse def. James Te Huna via KO (Punch) at :52, R1
