UFC Fight Night 75 Primer: Uriah Hall Is a Beast

The knock against TUF runner-up Uriah Hall is that he’s sometimes reluctant to pull the trigger. But we only say that because we’ve seen what happens when he does fire: crushing spinning-kicks, deadly-accurate punches, withering aggression. Because we’ve witnessed him perform magic in the cage, we hold it against him when he doesn’t perform those thrilling tricks.

Which brings us to UFC Fight Night 75, the installment of UFC action that awaits us a couple weeks after Saturday’s UFC 191 is out of the way. The main event will see Josh Barnett and Roy Nelson throw down, but the co-main has Hall taking on former Strikeforce champ Gegard Mousasi. It’s a tall order for Hall, as Mousasi has long been an upper-echelon fighter and killer when he wants to be. And yet, if the American doesn’t hesitate, if he comes out with guns blazing and defies gravity like we know he can, an impressive win over Mousasi could be just what the doctor ordered.

Hall is certainly capable.

Here’s a video of Hall retiring TUF legend Chris Leben. Watch it and tell me if you think that version of Hall can beat Mousasi.
