He wields an overhand right that’s akin to a sledgehammer, he’s got a black belt in jiu-jitsu under Renzo Gracie, and his belly is the stuff of legend. TUF 10 winner Roy Nelson may be on a two-fight losing skid thanks to Mark Hunt and Alistair Overeem, but he’s still got the skills and credentials to be a badass – which is more than enough to warrant a main event against Josh Barnett at next weekend’s UFC Fight Night 75 in Japan.
It’s hard to a imagine a win against Barnett would lead to a title shot, especially since Nelson has lost to so many UFC heavyweights. It doesn’t matter, though. A fight featuring “Big Country” more often than not ends in him knocking someone out or him taking a beating. Either one is fun!
