Next Sunday will see another UFC installment in their Fight Night series, with a main event featuring featherweight Max Holloway and Charles Oilveira clashing in the cage. Both men have had their ups and downs, but they’re on the cusp of breaking into the elite of the division, so all it could take is one impressive win over a tough opponent and they would break through.
This could be that fight for either man.
Hollway is riding a six-fight win streak, with his last two losses coming at the hands of Conor McGregor and Dennis Bermudez. He’s a rangy fighter who carves up opponents like a master woodsmith.
On the flipside is Oliveira, who’s a four-fight streak, and whose last losses came at the hands of Frankie Edgar and Cub Swanson. Oliveira is no great striker, but his jiu-jitsu game is tight as hell, and he’s an ace at exploding into submissions when the opportunities arise.
To refresh your memory on the Brazilian, here’s a vid of him in action. Enjoy.
