We’ve already seen what happens when one of Bellator’s best fighters transitions to the UFC. Hector Lombard did okay, Eddie Alvarez eventually became a UFC champ… the data is pretty deep on all those cross-promotional talent performance graphs.
So nothing Alexander Volkov does during his tenure in the Octagon is going to surprise us that much. After kicking butt in Bellator, he kicked butt in M-1 Global, and in two UFC fights has managed to get wins via decision.
This weekend Volkov gets to headline UFC Fight Night 115 opposite Stefan Struve. He should do alright. Maybe Struve will beat him, maybe he’ll beat Struve. Either way, Volkov will be doing what Bellator refugees do when they switch over to the UFC: okay.
