Not everyone can be the champ – there are simply too many fighters and only a few belts to be had. But being a champ doesn’t always mean as much as a being a hard-charging scrapper who leaves everything in the cage, which, thankfully, is why we’ll always love Cub Swanson.
Sure, he’s lost to the likes of Max Holloway, Frankie Edgar, Chad Mendes and Jose Aldo, but those are the best of the best, and in the meantime Swanson is tossing us “Fight of Night” performances like they’re candy.
This weekend, at UFC Fight Night 108, Swanson will co-headline opposite Artem Lobov, who’s a scrappy dude himself but is more widely known as Conor McGregor’s buddy. Regardless, it’ll be an entertaining fight. You can thank Swanson for that.
Here’s some of his handiwork.
