UFC 210 looms, and with it comes a pay-per-view event that will see a light-heavyweight belt up for grabs.
It seems like just yesterday when the UFC’s 205-pound weight class was the flagship division for the sport. From Tito Ortiz to Chuck Liddell to Jon Jones, the light-heavyweights were the stars, and every other division was just filler.
That’s all changed now, of course. Jones couldn’t keep himself out of trouble so he took himself out of the picture, and anyway, people ended up caring more about where Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor fight than they did about the bigger fighters. Which sucks for people like Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson, who are doing their best to make fans interested, but oh well. That’s the game.
For their part, the UFC is doing what they can to make you interested about Saturday’s Cormier versus Rumble match-up. Here, as an example, is Episode 1 of UFC 210: Embedded.
