Up next: Mike Pyle and Alex Garcia. Pyle’s been in the game for so long, and though he had a bit of a career resurgence a couple years ago, lately his chin has been weak as hell. So really, the only question going into this fight is if Garcia can touch it and put Pyle away or can Pyle somehow stay conscious.
Pyle does his best to keep the shorter Garcia on the end of his jab, and when Garcia comes close Pyle tries to greet him with a knee. But Garcia gets him down, and after quickly passing guard, he eases into side-control. They scramble up, with Pyle trying to play at range, but with Garcia mixing takedown attempts with his striking, it’s only a matter of time before Garcia clocks him with a hard overhand right that has the veteran just utterly starched.
