Eight UFC events made official for 2013

The year may not be over yet, but FOX and the UFC have already released an immense list of events that will take place in 2013. The UFC looks to officially kick off the year with a January 19 UFC on FX: Brazil event, headlined by Vitor Belfort vs. Michael Bisping. Shortly after the card is a Jan. 26th FOX card that will play host to the long awaited number one contenders fight between Donald Cerrone and former WEC champion Anthony Pettis. That bout has been in doubt due to an injury sustained by Pettis, but it seems to finally be set.

The UFC will then return to their home base in Vegas to feature the former lightweight champ, Frankie Edgar taking on featherweight champ, Jose Aldo on Feb. 2nd from the Mandalay Bay Events Center. From there on we see plenty of slots for potential headliners. That continues on until April 27th where we know Chael Sonnen is set to take on Jon Jones for the UFC light-heavyweight title after going at each other for a whole season of the Ultimate Fighter. As FOX ramps up its UFC events in 2013 on their networks, it looks to be a perfect platform to help recruit more fans to the sport.
