One of the biggest advantages of having Fabricio Werdum as our heavyweight champ is that, unlike former champ Cain Velasquez (who he dethroned), Werdum doesn’t get injured in training as much, and we can therefore see him fight.
Let me repeated that: WE CAN SEE HIM FIGHT.
In a little over two weeks, Werdum will be headlining UFC 198, defending his belt against Stipe Miocic. It will be awesome. You know why? Because it’s a damn UFC heavyweight championship bout, and like spotting a leprechaun astride a unicorn in Central Park, those are rare things to behold.
Below is a nice preview video the UFC put together for the event. Soak it in. It will be the first of many.
