UFC officials have confirmed four matches for the upcoming UFC 192 event in Houston, Texas in October.
First, Julianna Pena will have her second bout since coming back from a horrific knee injury which sidelined her all of last year.
“The Venezuelan Vixen” won a TKO victory in April over Milana Dudieva. Back in 2013, she won the 20th season of The Ultimate Fighter, where she was coached by longtime training partner and friend, Miesha Tate. Pena is officially 6-2 in MMA, as the results from TUF are considered “exhibitions” and do not count towards her record.
Pena’s opponent will be Jessica Eye, who incidentally lost a unanimous decision to Miesha Tate last month. Eye is 11-3 in MMA.
The bout was confirmed by UFC officials to ESPN.
The UFC 192 card will also feature the return of Sergio Pettis, who suffered the first stoppage loss of his career back in April. The 21 year old Pettis, who is the younger brother of former lightweight champion Anthony Pettis, is 12-2 in MMA.
The young gun Pettis will face a 34 year old veteran in Chris Cariaso, who is best known for his challenge of the UFC flyweight title against Demetrious Johnson last year.
Also announced was a welterweight bout between Albert Tumenov and Alan Jouban.
Both were confirmed by UFC officials to the Houston Chronicle.
UFC 192 is headlined by Daniel Cormier’s first defense of the UFC light heavyweight title, against former title challenger Alexander Gustafsson.
