Tate, who lost via submission to Rousey while both were competing in Strikeforce for the bantamweight title, will meet on December 28 for the UFC belt in Las Vegas.
“I want to finish this fight,” said Tate, during a recent conference call. “I think that it’s one thing we can probably agree on. I’m sure she feels the same way.
“That’s how I know it’s going to be an amazing fight.”
Tate (13-4) has posted a 1-1 mark since falling to Rousey in 2012, but was named as a replacement for Cat Zingano on the recent season of The Ultimate Fighter opposite the champion. She lost to Zingano earlier this year via third round TKO.
The former Strikeforce champion stated that all she has thought about is Rousey, adding, “every day that I go into my training, I know that we’re both fighting for that same common interest. We want to beat the hell out of each other. We want to finish the fight; we don’t want a decision.
“I don’t want a decision. I’m motivated.”
