UFC 165 Results: Mike Ricci and Myles Jury’s Listless Bout Ends in a Split Decision Victory for Jury

A promising-looking lightweight contest between Mike Ricci and Myles Jury to end the UFC 165 preliminary broadcast would prove to be an abysmal bout, which ended up looking more like a sub-par sparring session. Jury would be awarded the split decision.

Jury took the early advantage with some crisp striking, landing a particularly good right in the first round which had Ricci moving backward. But the action slowed by the middle of the stanza and never picked back up. Jury landed a few good takedowns, and Ricci landed a couple of round kicks which likely won him round two. Jury initiated a takedown and was on top for the majority of a listless third round.

As the two struggled against the cage repeatedly, commentator Joe Rogan remarked, “This is boring, but this is the struggle.” For their part, the crowd booed the action and amused themselves by waving to the camera.

At UFC 165, Myles Jury defeated Mike Ricci by Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28).
