Two middleweight bouts have reportedly been added to the August 31st, UFC 164 card in Milwaukee, as Yoel Romero will take on Derek Brunson and Jared Hamman will battle Magnus Cedenblad. The upcoming card, which will feature TJ Grant challenging lightweight champ Benson Henderson, now has 10 fights confirmed. The latest additions were reported by MMA Junkie.com .
Romero (5-1) will be looking to build on the impressive KO win he recorded over Clifford Starks at UFC on FOX 7. The victory came after the Cuban fighter and former Olympic wrestler was stopped by Rafael Cavalcante in September, 2011.
Brunson (10-2) worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Chris Leben at UFC 155 in December, after dropping back-to-back bouts to Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza and Kendall Grove.
Hamman (13-5) is likely in need of a win to continue working for the UFC, as the aggressive middleweight is coming off stoppage losses to Costa Philippou and Michael Kuiper.
Cedenblad (10-4) made his Octagon debut at UFC on FUEL TV 2 last February, and was submitted by Francis Carmont. The Swedish fighter had won seven straight before the defeat.
Some of other bouts set for UFC 164 include Josh Barnett vs. Frank Mir, Clay Guida vs. Chad Mendes and Erik Koch vs. Dustin Poirier.
