UFC 148: Cruz vs. Faber III planned for July 7 in Las VegasFebruary 10, 2012 by Joe Rocha

The trilogy of Cruz vs. Faber will look to be completed July 7, according to UFC co-owner Lorenzo Fertitta (via twitter). Prior to the bout we expect the two adversaries to face-off as coaches to “The Ultimate Fighter 15” as it debuts on FX, March 9.

Currently, both Urijah Faber (16-5) and current UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz (26-5) hold victories over the other. Faber as the WEC featherweight champion pulled the first round guillotine finish of Cruz. The two then met again recently with roles reversed in a lighter weight class, as Cruz earned the five-round unanimous decision over Faber at UFC 132 earlier this year.

The events venue is expected to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, and will coincide with a UFC Fan Expo at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
