As usual, Twitter was the source of a ton of raw reaction to the news of Nevada State Athletic Commission Executive Director Keith Kizer’s announcement that he’ll resign on January 27. Here’s what folks in the MMA industry were saying:

Interesting timing on Keith Kizer’s departure, considering that the UFC is apparently planning on a Vitor Belfort fight in Nevada.

Wow…Keith Kizer resigns, huh? That is HUGE news. I need a second.

I hate to be what I am here, but before anybody breaks out the good whisky, it’s totally possible Keith Kizer’s replacement could be worse.

(It looks like “Big” John McCarthy might get to referee in Nevada again…)
Oh my, what a great day!!! LMMFAO !!!!!

Keith Kizer resigned? Fantastic. That guy was utterly useless.

Love him or hate him, Kizer did a lot for the sport. He at least deserves credit for overseeing MMA during it greatest period of growth, and for ensuring that no matter what, fighters got to leave that cage and make it back to their home to their families in one piece.
