The Ultimate Show: UFC on FOX 3 Review, Strikeforce Grand Prix

This week’s ‘The Ultimate Show’, featuring a look back at this past weekend’s UFC on FOX, a look forward at the StrikeForce Grand Prix, and as usual, more Kenda Perez.

We saw tons of basic cable action with UFC on FOX, a concept we’re hoping the UFC continues to repeat. Josh Koschek and Johny Hendricks went toe-to-toe for the full time allotted in what could have easily been called the fight of the night. The judge’s could have picked either fighter, but much to the fan’s collective joy, Hendricks walked away with the decision. On the main card, Nick Diaz and Jim Miller fought mostly a one-sided fight, the much acclaimed Diaz picking apart Miller piece by piece. We take you behind the scenes with on the ground pre-fight interviews and exclusive footage.

We take a look forward at the up and coming StrikeForce Grand Prix tournament which is looking to be one of the biggest MMA events of the year, not under the name UFC. Former UFC champion, Josh Barnett will face undefeated Daniel Cormier, and we were able to get them both in the room to answer a few questions about what is guaranteed to be a brawl. Then Jonathan Snowden and Jeremy Botter discuss Junior Dos Santos’ next challenger. Both agree that Frank Mir, coming off a 3 win streak, is the obvious choice, but as usual, every other logistic is up for debate.

Keep checking back for The Ultimate Show every Wednesday. Exclusive fight footage, exclusive fighter interviews, expert analysis, and lovely Kenda Perez to walk you through all the action.
