Former UFC female bantamweight title contender Bethe Correia will try to rebound from her first pro loss this April when she meets Raquel Pennington at UFC on FOX 19.
Pennington posted the fight announcement on her Instagram page recently.
The event is expected to take place April 16 from Tampa, Florida, with a main event between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson highlighting the card. Other planned bouts include Dan Henderson-Lyoto Machida and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua-Rashad Evans.
Correia (9-1) quickly rose through the 135-pound ranks by taking out Ronda Rousey’s “Four Horsewomen” competitors Shayna Baszler and Jessamyn Duke. The Brazilian also got under the skin of Rousey ahead of their title fight by calling into question her past.
However, that all added up to a disgruntled then-champion, as Rousey stormed out after Correia in their August pay-per-view main event from Brazil and quickly finished her.
Pennington (6-5) earned her third Octagon victory in five fights with a submission of Jessica Andrade back at UFC 191. The win avenged a split decision loss to Andrade from earlier in their careers.
The 27-year-old Ultimate Fighter alum also pushed current division champion Holly Holm the distance last February, losing via split decision. Pennington defeated Duke on TUF and has also shared the cage with the likes of Kim Couture, former title contender Cat Zingano and Leslie Smith.
