Silva says Jones fight ‘not possible’, White says ‘it will happen’
The way UFC president Dana White sees it, for the right amount of money, any UFC fighter will fight any other fighter. This was made clear when White publicly said that he believes Rory MacDonald would fight his training partner and friend Georges St-Pierre for the right money. During yesterday’s UFC 153: Silva vs. Bonnar press conference, the usual question was asked of Anderson Silva, if a super-fight between Jon Jones and himself was anymore realistic. Unfortunately for the fans, the answer has not changed.
“There are many possibilities, but fighting Jon Jones is one of them that I don’t think is possible,” Silva said today during a press conference in support of UFC 153. “There’s no way.”
White continues to give hope of the match-up however as he responds to fans on Twitter, as well as ‘feed some trolls’ on the way out.
