Silva on fighting GSP: ‘Maybe one day’February 15, 2012 by Savannah Labate

Although he is already lined up to fight Chael Sonnen, UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva is looking further into his career. Silva spoke on ESPN’s radio show yesterday and made it known that a fight with current UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre is something he would like to do before he retires.

“GSP is the best fight (for me) in this sport. It would be a great, great, great fight. He is a good guy. Maybe one day, this is a good fight.”

And what about fighting Jon Jones? Silva says that won’t happen.

“The fight between me and JJ is no good, he is a different (weight) class. In my camp we have (light heavyweights Antonio Rogerio) ‘Minotauro’ Nogueira and Lyoto Machida.”

but he would go down i weight to fight gsp..wtf???…catch weight..dah…he went up to fight forest…he doesnt want to go down with a L in his last fight..he would put GSP to sleep for sure..well idk about that one when i think about it..i cant stand either one..but gsp might make it a ground game and take it the way he takes most of his fights..but he is gonna lose to Chael he wont be chump i mean champ anymore and nobody will give a shit about who he fights..but that comment about being in a different weight class bullshite…a true champ should want to fight the best and right now thats jon jones….so keep looking past the Sonnen fight like that and your gonna get retired for sure anderson….if i were you i would worry about the guy who beat the shit out of you for 23 minutes and find a way to stay on your feet..where he almost knocked you out twice.hahaha….ah i love how he wont touch the Jones fight..
catch weight between him and Nick Diaz would be much better..he feeds right into Nicks style too…he would get his poor little rib broken for sure then….excuses and excused out of that camp..oh yeah how does Nogera’s arm feel…i bet you thought Mir was going out didnt you anderson..lol…got his arm snapped in half so your wrong you only have Machida..who got choked out..and little dog im mean Nog..who doesnt stand a chance against anyone in the division right now really.. no contenders anyway..so anderson you are a pussy and not a real champ if you dont want to fight the best..you can go up to 205 if not im sure he would meet you half way……you wont…pussy

  Dude, calm down. GSP is a huge welterweight, walks around at about the same weight as Anderson. They have similar body-types. It would be a reasonable match-up. Jon Jones is way too big, he is a natural heavyweight fighting light-heavyweights. The difference is too great, with his superb grappling, size matters so much. So don’t talk too much shit you sound like a douche, have some respect for the p4p goat. You obviously are not a fighter.
