Justin Scoggins, who took out Ray Borg recently and declared himself the UFC flyweight champion, will return to action this March against Ben Nguyen.
The bout, set for March 20 at UFC Fight Night 85, will likely be part of the main card from Brisbane, Australia. The event airs on FOX Sports 1, as officials confirmed the bout with the Courier Mail recently.
Scoggins (11-2) picked up his fourth Octagon victory, improving to 4-2 overall with the promotion. He started his career 9-0, including his UFC debut in Brisbane back in 2013 when he finished Richie Vaculik.
Since, the 23-year-old from South Carolina has defeated Will Campuzano, Josh Sampo and Borg, losing a split decision to Dustin Ortiz and falling via submission to John Moraga.
Nguyen (14-5) is riding a eight-fight win streak that includes a pair of first round finishes in the UFC in Australia. He knocked out Alptekin Ozkilic last May and scored a submission vs. Ryan Benoit in November.
Despite being from the U.S., Nguyen trains out of Brisbane and has made his last seven pro fights in the country.
The card is headlined by a heavyweight battle between Mark Hunt and Frank Mir. Other previously announced fights include Neil Magny-Hector Lombard, James Te Huna-Steve Bosse and Ross Pearson-Abel Trujillo.
