Ronda Rousey retains title with first round finish of Kaufman

It may be time to change the name of the armbar. Make it 6-0 for “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey, as she makes her first successful defense of the Strikeforce women’s bantamweight title. The champ made it look easy as she literally pulled the victory over the former champ Sarah Kaufman (15-2) in only 54 seconds of the first round with her signature armbar submission. As  soon as the bell rang, Rousey quickly earned the leg trip into a perfect armbar roll. From there it did not take long for the legs of Rousey to out power the arms of Kaufman.

Following the win, the charismatic Rousey jumped on the microphone, calling for former featherweight champ, Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Justino to come down to her weight and fight the champ. The queen of armbars went on to offer the fight in the cage or in the parking lot.
The  official result:
Ronda Rousey defeats Sarah Kaufman via submission (armbar) – Round 1, 0:54
