Former UFC female bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey is set to appear on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” later today, but a portion of the interview has already been released online.

Rousey, who lost to Holly Holm last year via knockout, opened up about suicide following the defeat. The words are very strong and emotions run wild from the former Olympian during the sit-down interview.

“I was in the medical room and I was down in the corner, and was like, ‘What am I anymore if I’m not this?'” Rousey said. “I was literally sitting there, thinking about killing myself.

“That exact second I’m like, ‘I’m nothing. What do I do anymore? No one gives a (expletive) about me anymore without this.'”

Rousey cited the help of her boyfriend, UFC heavyweight Travis Browne, for getting her through the tough ordeal. Her father committed suicide when Rousey was young.

The interview also discusses Rousey’s cover for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. She is set to appear on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” later this evening.
