Rodrigo Damm vs. Antonio Carvalho set for UFC 154

A battle of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu featherweights is coming to Canada. The Ultimate Fighter Brazil alum Rodrigo Damm veteran fighter Antonio Carvalho. Both are coming off impressive wins in their last fight so either could earn an exciting victory. This is a blink and you miss it type of fight. UFC 154 takes place in Montreal Canada on October 13th, and it will take place at the Bell Centre Arena. The event is headlined by a main event between welterweight champion George St. Pierre and interim champion Carlos Condit.

Rodrigo Damm earned his way into the UFC by way of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil, but he had been utilizing his trade for years all over the world. After opening his career at 8-1, he went 1-4 in his next five bouts. he was also finished in all of those fights, but some of them did come at 155. While not a winner of TUF he did impress in his post-TUF fight. He took out fellow cast mate Anistavio Medeiros in a little over two minutes by rear naked choke. He will need to continue that path if he wants to work his way toward the title.

Antonio has always been known as a tough fighter since he started his career all the way back in 2002. He joined the UFC after amassing a 13-4 career record, but was unfortunately beat in his first fight in the octagon. He was beat by Felipe Arantes, but won the first round on the judges scorecards. Many pundits pointed to his striking as a hole in his game. Luckily he improved on this in his next fight, taking out the very tough Daniel Pineda by KO in a little over one minute. He will need those hands again as he and Damm should be even on the ground. This fight will be one to watch come October in Canada.
