Rich Franklin vs. Cung Le set for UFC on Fuel TV 6

It looks like Dana will get his wish, since he announced that Rich Franklin and Cung Le have agreed once again to face each other. The bout is likely to be the biggest MMA fight in China, and the biggest main event Fuel TV has hosted to date. The bout will take place on November 10th in Macau, China at the Cotai Arena. Despite Cung Le still suffering a gruesome broken toe. Not many other big fights have been announced for the card besides a welterweight match-up between Paulo Thiago and Dong Hyun Kim as they fight to retain relevancy in the organization.

The match-up between the two was originally set for UFC 148, but Franklin decided to take a headlining bout at UFC 147 opposite Wanderlei Silva instead. Franklin went on to win that fight, and completes his transformation back down to the middleweight division where he once reigned. He has floated the last couple years since his second loss to Anderson Silva. At age 37 he hopes to make one last run at the title before he retires for good. To do that he must make it past the former Strikeforce champ, Cung Le.

Cung Le was doing well in his UFC debut opposite Wanderlei Silva before he got caught in the second round. That was only the second loss of his career, and he vowed to have a win in the octagon before he stopped fighting. He received the chance at UFC 148 against Patrick Cote, and even though it was not in classic Cung style, it was a win none the less. He was not sure he would ever fight again after the last fight, but the opportunity to take out a former UFC champion before ending his career.
