Derrick Lewis scored himself a main event win over Travis Browne Sunday night at UFC Fight Night 105.
Lewis, nicknamed “The Black Beast,” connected early in the second round, finishing off Browne at the 3:12 mark. The win was the sixth consecutive victory for Lewis, who is now 18-4 overall with one no-contest in his career.
In the co-main event, former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks claimed a decision over ex-Bellator titleholder Hector Lombard. Hendricks was making his middleweight debut after three consecutive losses and troubles weighing in.
Gavin Tucker, Elias Theodorou, Sara McMann, Paul Felder, Santiago Ponzinibbio, Randa Markos, Aiemann Zahabi, Thiago Santos and Gerlad Meerschaert all picked up wins on the night from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Lewis and Browne earned “Fight of the Night,” with Felder and Santos claiming “Performance of the Night” bonuses. The attendance was announced at 8,123 for a live gate of $576,832.
